Jakob Axel Nielsen is Director at Influenter, where he works at the intersection of politics, authorities and business. Based in North Jutland, he advises on how political decisions and regulatory frameworks are translated into strategic opportunities for companies. He has a rare combination of experience from both the government, the Danish Parliament and the Danish business community.

He has previously served as Minister of Health and Minister of Transport and Energy, and has also represented the Conservative People’s Party in the Danish Parliament. His political experience gives him a deep understanding of how decisions are made and how they affect society and business in practice.

After his political career, he has built a strong position in the business and fund world, where he currently works with strategic development, investments and board work across industries.

At Influenter, he contributes in particular with his ability to create an overview of complex decision-making processes and to identify where political and regulatory conditions can be translated into concrete business opportunities. His focus is to build bridges between the political system and the reality of businesses – and to make the complex more usable.
